Meanwhile, I don’t care what’s in your record collection, this one will head near or to the top as among the best sounding in your collection. Lost In Romance is one album where the outstanding sound is matched by the music making. - Sound 11/10 Music 9/10 Micheal Fremmer AnaloguePlanet

Discovered in 2010 by world class jazz pianist and legend, Paul Smith, Lyn Stanley entered singing with the world’s most famous accompanist, Paul Smith and his trio, four months after meeting her. Known for her lush low notes, beautiful intonation, rich interpretations and phrasing, Lyn has been described by Scott Yanow as a “superior singer ” and Don Heckman stated she “..is a potentially significant new jazz  talent. ”

Lost In Romance is a unique album that combines 13 of Los Angeles’ best jazz musicians performing in four different trios along with soloists. The album is organized as a tale of love’s in’s and out’s, trials and tribulations, joys and disappointments—in a sequence that is best appreciated when heard in song order. The songs include traditional Great American Songbook tunes, but also step into blues and even Broadway-with “Losing My Mind” performed from a dancer’s perspective in a jazz arrangement. The album’s musicians and stellar arrangements were created by Tamir Hendelman, Steve Rawlins and Llew Matthews—all three have worked with some of the greatest artists in America including Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler and Nancy Wilson.

"Only a few tracks are required for the listener to be Lost in Romance with Lyn Stanley. I was there by “The Nearness of You.” By then, she has warmed the room with a series of classics from Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, Hoagy Carmichael." -Brian Arsenault, The International Review of Music

"That's just plain 'Wow, Wow, Wow.' How brave you are to undertake these tunes. ... We get a lot of first-time albums with new artists, some of them pretty promising, but once in a blue moon you get the perfect package. Great singer, great arrangements, great tunes — and that’s what it is with Lyn Stanley and her debut LP, Lost in Romance.” — Gregg Hunter, Niteside

"Singer, dancer, ingenue, Lyn Stanley is a fully realized and mature talent exploding into her own. An award-winning ballroom dancer, Stanley melds that physical experience of movement with her performance of jazz standards, bringing the genre back to its dancing, kinetic roots. As executive producer on Lost In Romance, Stanley brings a Midas touch to the proceedings, producing in wholly urbane and sophisticated collection of the best the Great American Songbook has to offer. It takes a certain fortitude to record one more collection of jazz standards, but then again, this is the most appropriate starting place for Stanley. Standards are the proving ground for Stanley's singing philosophy and that philosophy is a sound and entertaining one.

"The songs include a smoldering 'Fever,' an island humid 'That Old Black Magic' and a late-night 'The Nearness of You' (featuring the inestimable Bob Sheppard on tenor saxophone) that set a relaxed mood, one that is sure of the talent to which it's being devoted. There are no steep cliffs here, only straight and elegant byways to pass the time, with some exceptional ballad and mid-tempo vocal performances by the dense loam of talent that is Lyn Stanley. ... This is singing and delivery that must wait for the proper word to come along to define it." — All About Jazz

"Lost In Romance is my first album, but I did all I could to make it the best possible recording. Recorded 192/24 by Tommy Vacari, an Emmy and Grammy winning sound engineer. The album has four trios, all highly successful jazz musicians and soloists from Los Angeles. Including Tamir Hendelman (Barbra Streisand's current 1st call pianist), Jeff Hamilton (drummer for Diana Krall). Mixed by Al Schmitt at Capitol Records and Mastered by Bernie Grundman, the album has received Best of 2013 by critic Don Grigware. The album contains 15 tracks. Vinyl is a double album 180g-45RPM pressed at Pallas in Germany. The album has danceable tempos and ballads because I am a past USA amateur ballroom dance champion. Jazz legend Paul Smith discovered me in 2010-he was Ella Fitzgerald's accompanist and loved my range and sultry voice. Lost In Romance contains jazz standards and some pop and blues tunes with great arrangements by Tamir Hendelman, Llew Matthews and Steve Rawlins. Recorded at Conway Studios and Ocean Way in Los Angeles. the  sonics are exceptional based on reviews and feedback. Ken Kessler and Michael Fremer both love the album
