BRUCKNER Symphony No.3 in D minor (1889 Version) Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Carl Schuricht Recorded in STEREO
Carl Schuricht, the distinguished German conductor and composer, recorded principally for Decca after the Second World War, but towards the end of his career he was taken up by EMI, who made with him a complete cycle of Beethoven Symphonies with the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra between 1957 and 1959 and a number of Bruckner Symphonies with the Vienna Philharmonic. The recording of Bruckner's Third Symphony, in its 1889 version, was made in the Musikvereinssaal in Vienna in December 1965, just more than one year before Schuricht's death.
