The greatest virtue of the Grado Statement  Master 2 Mono  is its balance of all aspects of analog reproduction. There are a few (more-expensive) cartridges on the market that will perform any of the individual tasks better, but I challenge you to find a $1,000 cartridge that does this well handling everything. The Statement series has a much lower mass generator for each model due to less coil winding turns.  This accounts for the lower output of the Statement Series models, but also allows for a quicker and more detailed reproduction of the music on your records. 

The Statement Series is the ultimate in playback quality for moving iron phono cartridges and is a perfect match for the today’s best analog front ends.

The Master2 model uses a five piece OTL cantilever technology achieving an additional 5% tip mass reduction over the Platinum2 and Sonata2 models. The coils are wound with ultra-high purity long crystal (UHPLC) oxygen free copper wire. The Master2 model is mounted with Grado's specially designed nude elliptical diamond.
