With Marialy Pacheco the dream of every piano music lover will come true!" (LP Magazine, 2/2016)

In 2014, Marialy Pacheco 's album INTRODUCING was released, with which she was convinced by her self - confident style and her Cuban temperament. Now she presents another facet of her musical diversity and brought a piece of Cuba to Ludwigsburg for the STUDIO CONCERT . For this recording the pianist and official "Bösendorfer Artist" selected her "favorite pieces". They are both current compositions and arrangements, as well as older works by Marialy Pacheco . In doing so she draws on Cuban folk music and transforms it into a completely new form. Their exploration of the musical tradition creates the balance between seriousness and technical sophistication on the one hand and ease and Caribbean fire on the other.

Live recordings of June 15, 2015 at the Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg.

No matter how experienced you are as a musician - this includes special courage: alone on the grand piano, to make a direct-to-2-track recording before the audience, without the possibility of post-editing or editing. But for the Cuban jazz pianist Marialy Pacheco (* 1983) this particular situation is nothing new; already her solo debut album "Songs That I Love" arose as a one-take recording. On "Studio Konzert" you can listen to them with their own compositions, standards and also a piano piece by Johannes Brahms at the grandiose Bösendorfer grand piano in Studio 1 of Bauer Studios. The grand piano is perfectly micronized, and Marialy Pacheco's game combines perfectly empathetic design and driving rhythmic power. The folklore music of her native Cuba is heard again and again, but also the modern groove, the pianist who has traveled all over the world. A very special piece from this royal discipline of jazz!

"The studio concerts of Neuklang have always impressed the audience with what great recording techniques are capable of.
