The recordings were made on 16 March 2016 by Philipp Hack in Studio 1 of Bauer Studios, Ludwigsburg.
When Raphael Schwab and Julien Soro were in front of the microphones for the first time at Bauer Studios, they did this together with the big band "Ping Machine" - the contrast with their now released "Studiokonzert" would not be possible the two as filigree duo on: Only double bass and alto saxophone can be heard here. Apart from three compositions from Schwab's feather, the two play exclusively from Thelonious Monk and Miles Davis to Fats Waller and Jerome Kern. One can hear that both have played together in this miniature setting for five years, because one does not get such a perfect interlaced and airy groove from today to tomorrow. But there is ample space for free-flowing and lyrical solo escapades.
The album comes in hinged cover on 180g-heavy audiophile vinyl, was pressed at Pallas Germany and is limited and consecutive numbered. "The studio-concerts of Neuklang have always impressed the audience with what great recording techniques can do
