Franz Schubert was not a composer of externals. On the contrary, it is the deepest emotional impulses that express his music, and apart from his songs, he succeeded in doing so, above all, in his piano music. Elisabeth Leonskaja has always described Schubert's music as "essential" for her artistic life. Her mentor Sviatoslav Richter introduced her to the depths of this music. Now their recordings of the Impromptus D 899 and D935 will be released on vinyl.
