Gravelly-voiced, expressive piano balladeer/composer with godlike status in his native Italy.
One of the most idiosyncratic, charismatic, and internationally successful Italian singer/songwriters of the past four decades, Paolo Conte created his own unique style, combining a love for jazz and music hall together with a weary yet sympathetic and humorous understanding of human foibles "This first Paolo Conte live collection is an ideal introduction to one of Italy's most unique performers. Recorded both in Italy and in France, a testimony to Conte's established transnational appeal, this recording constitutes an excellent summary of the first decade of his career... Conte is a natural showman and his music, with its strong music hall influences, is clearly made for the stage." -Mariano Prunes, allmusic.com

The album is listed in the ranking of the 100 most beautiful Italian records of all time according to Rolling Stone Italy .
This first Paolo Conte live collection is an ideal introduction to one of Italy's most unique performers. Recorded both in Italy and in France, a testimony to Conte's established transnational appeal, this recording constitutes an excellent summary of the first decade of his career. Although he only gathered the courage to start his solo career after working ten years as a professional songwriter, Conte is a natural showman and his music, with its strong music hall influences, is clearly made for the stage. Always a perfectionist, for this outing Conte surrounds himself with a cadre of Italy's finest sessionmen: bassist Ares Tavolazzi, drummer Ellade Bandini, guitarist Jimmy Villoti, saxophonist and bandleader Antonio Marangolo, and keyboardist Mimmo Turone.
All of the above (plus producer Renzo Fantini) had frequently contributed to Conte's studio recordings and were thus perfectly in synch with his musical vision. Appropriately, the husky vocalist-stomping pianist and his band never miss a step, as they positively enjoy themselves nonchalantly breezing through 18 classics from the Conte repertoire. All of his best-known songs are here, including "Genova per Noi," "Via con Me," "Bartali," "Un Gelato al Limon," "La Topolino Amaranto," and "Onda su Onda." As a bonus, there is also the first appearance on a Conte album of "Azzurro," a 1968 hit for Adriano Celentano written by Conte and Vito Pallavicini. As an introduction to the artist, Concerti, or any other Conte live album

A gem and long Missing album was reissued in outstanding quality: "Concerti" by the great Italian Cantautore, chansoniers, songwriter and jazz veterans Paolo Conte. Conte was for many years only active as a songwriter for other musicians, had too little confidence in his own voice. But now the man from Trent grumpy rumbling chant has long since become his trademark, just as his musical roots in Jazz, in which he holds all the trends of periods, genres and music industry notwithstanding. Paolo Conte is known among his fans for with just a few strokes to captivate his audience completely and take for themselves. On his live album "Concerti" he brings this incredibly powerful live atmosphere to the living room. Accompanied by a fünfköpfigem Ensemble (Ares Tavolazzi on double bass, Ellade Bandini on drums, Jimmy Villoti on guitar, Antonio Marangolo on sax and Mimmo Turone on keyboards
Conte enchants the audience with a program of chanson, blues, jazz and tango. Whether alone at the piano or accompanied by the casual jazz combo, Paolo Conte is an entertainer beyond compare. Even if the LP can not replace the live experience, she brings the intimacy of the concert over very well. With wit and charm Conte creates an exciting atmosphere that never loses its drive in the quieter moments. "Concerti" was recorded on Contes European tour in 1985, on four different nights in Paris, Perugia and Lodi, but sounds like a only fantastic concert evening, so perfect are Conte and his band together and attuned their repertoire. texts and music complement each other perfectly on the profound, melancholy verses, from which both the enjoyment of life and suffering are to hear, follow instrumental solos of Contes ensemble. The opening track "Lo Zio", a classic that combines Italian verses with English choruses, and allows the saxophonist Antonio Marangolo prominent soloist. The Swing play "Come Di" calls the listener a reminder to the old master of swing out: Django Reinhardt. One of his first big hits is celebrated here live: "Un Gelato Al Limon", this time a little quieter. And of course the wonderfully swinging "Via Con Me" missing with the so typical for Conte eclectic switch between the different languages on any of his concerts.
Contes own interpretation of the famous song "Azzuro" he wrote in the 60s for Adriano Celentano, and this thus helped to glory, lets the listener first stop wonder: is "Azzurro" unlike Celentano here not a harmless summer hit, but a hard-bitten, almost gran term piece, Conte sings of a lonely widower, the blue summer heat constantly reminded of his wife. "Concerti" shows once again a perfect interplay between Paolo Conte and his musical colleagues and unobtrusive arrangements that this each piece on give a characteristic sound album. This live album is an extraordinary and highly rare music experience. It just makes so much fun to be able to enjoy these high quality music from fone.

story of fonè
In the context of classical and jazz music market, fonè proposes three decades of recordings using advanced techniques, aimed at the recovery of the original musical atmospheres.
Each new recording is the result of a passionate encounter between art and the art of execution and aims to recreate and reproduce the same spirit with which the works of the past have been performed. One basic feature that makes the difference between fonè and others, is the recording of musical works in natural places and original, constant production that leads to choose from time to time historically more space? Suitable for: church, theater, villa, living room ...
All this is done by retrieving a simple incision that does not do violence to the music: all the equipment is in high definition.
