Johann Sebastian Bach's piano work is very rich, complex and varied. The young exceptional harpsichordist Fritz Siebert has made a colorful selection of Bach's harpsichord works on this SACD, demonstrating the enormous variety of his compositions. 

Fritz Siebert plays Bach's works very lively, thrilling, light, but at the same time with depth and a great bow. With the help of the magnificent and powerful harpsichord by Burkhard Zander (1999, after Ruckers / Couchet, Antwerp, mid-17th century), he succeeds in creating a unique interpretation of Bach's works, which Siebert has also recorded for Cybele for the first time in three-dimensional sound quality.

Because the SACD (CD Stereo - DSD 5.1) contains another section, which is the same recording in a different recording technique, namely by artificial head (also called binaural 3D). In a 3D artificial head image, the directional image on the vertical and horizontal planes as well as the perception of distance are largely consistent with natural hearing: Depending on the direction of incidence of the sound waves, the brain recognizes the respective direction and distance from which a sound is emitted. This recording can also be played back via speakers, but the 3D method works optimally via the headphones.
