With the release of an LP of the little-known Giuseppe Martucci (1856-1909), Clearaudio undoubtedly takes a gamble and underlines once more his musical ambitions! Just in time for the 100th anniversary of the death of the composer from Naples, this album was dedicated to him, which was recorded in the Herkules-Saal of the Munich Residenz in 2004. On the piano sat no less than Gerhard Oppitz, undoubtedly also a man with a high reputation with Riccardo Muti at the stage of the symphonic orchestra of the Bavarian Rundfunks. The concert for piano and orchestra is quite close to Viennese classical music, Whereby Martucci tried to revive the Italian instrumental music. The classic lover will appreciate this wonderful and very vital work, especially since the superficially unspectacular recording is rich in sound colors, so that the experienced listener can enjoy the true pleasure!
