Howard Hanson conducts the Eastman-Rochester Orchestra with the symphonic sketches of the American composer George Whitefield Chadwick. Consisting of the four movements Jubilee, Noël Hobgoblin« and A Vagrom Ballad«, each of the movements is thematically presented with a poem. Stylistically, Chadwick's composition is assigned to the New England School, his style is considered distinctly American.
