"The result really is very dead, as one can easily confirm by tapping it and, as a result, it adds most beneficially to the performance of an unsuspended equipment rack." "A very simple, but also effective way to reduce the amount of vibration reaching sensitive source components from below."
"Basically this is a large piece of MDF, but its weight of over 11kg makes it obvious there's more to it than that. Inside, deep channels have been cut out and filled with 2mm-diameter steel balls, which act very effectively to damp any kind of vibration." Recently bought the Ground-it deluxe 1 for my VPI Scout II. The first thing you notice immediately is the weight. This is not just a nice shelf but a beautifully finished and important piece of craftsmanship. The careful packaging also deserves praise and ensures that the Ground-it arrives undamaged.Placement is child's play. The result is a completely deadly arrangement: no matter how hard I put on the plate, the piece of furniture on which the whole rests when the turntable itself beats, the music reproduction remains intact. The obvious consequence is an increased calm in the sound and a nice, tight foundation. And nice extra: it looks very nice too! In short: a good purchase LP Review
