Using all of the technology and processes derived from years of making the 1200 series turntable Technics have 

produced a Tour-De-force of a turntable.

The top plate of the chassis is made from a 10mm thick panel of machined Aluminium, helping to create a very inert platform
for the rest of the turntable.

Technics have evolved the motor to a new coreless motor, this new motor cuts vibration to a minimum and with the twin motor arrangement
it ensure that there is high torque and an even load on the bearing.

They have utilised a Magnesium tonearm as this offers lower distortion, extreme rigidity and derives a more precise and accurate sound.
